Illuminated Manuscripts have always fascinated me. I can envision the Monks laboriously working, taking such care to get all the details just right with just the light from their candles to work by.
I recently finished a class on how to make a mixed media journal from Artful Gathering. http://atozinnia.org/ The class was taught by Luthien Thye, and it was called Beyond Time.
Of course it does not compare to the manuscripts of old, but I had such fun creating it!
