Keeper of the Forest

An old rusty paint brush I had found deep in the woods. As soon as I saw it, I knew what I wanted to create.
I used a resin piece from Relics and Artifacts, (which I altered) some moss covered twigs, some acorn hats and cheese cloth. Iced Enamels was used on the acorn hats, and I dyed a bit of cheese cloth with some walnut crystals for his hat. The handle of the brush I painted with burnt sienna acrylic paint, then went over it with white crackle medium. As you can see from the before picture, most of the mossy effect was already done for me by Mother Nature.

I hope you enjoyed this little altered brush, please leave me comments below and let me know what you all think!

  1. What an amazing find and transformation! It looks wonderful and I just want to reach through my computer screen and touch it! The walnut staining is perfect and the moss just adds to the glorious Mother Nature inspired theme. Thank you for sharing over at Retro Cafe and if you haven't done so already, be sure to share over in the Relics & Artifacts® Tribe.
